Privacy Policy for ApexFit

Effective Date: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ApexFit: AI Calorie Counter ("ApexFit", "the app") published by Ardtist Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the app.

ApexFit is a calorie, nutrition and fitness tracker. It estimates calories and macros from meal photos, scans barcodes, builds personalized meal and workout plans, and tracks fasting, water, weight and activity. ApexFit works without an account.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is created by you and stored only on your device in the app's local storage:

  • profile details you enter: height, weight, age, gender, goal, diet preference (standard, vegetarian, vegan, keto) and allergies
  • meal logs, favorite meals, calories and macros
  • meal plans, shopping lists and saved recipes
  • fasting history, water intake, weight history and workout logs
  • badges, streaks, reminders and app preferences (theme, language)

We do not operate user accounts and we do not keep a copy of this data on our servers.

2. AI Features

When you use an AI feature (photo calorie counting, meal planner, recipe generator, nutrition coach or workout planner), the input needed for that request is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which forwards it to an AI service to generate the result. This may include:

  • the meal photo you take or choose
  • ingredients or text you type
  • the profile and progress values needed to personalize the result (for example calorie goal, diet preference, allergies, weight)

This data is used only to return the result to your device. It is not linked to your identity, not used for advertising and not kept after the request is completed, except for short-lived technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Camera and Barcode Scanner

The camera is used only when you take a meal photo or scan a barcode. Barcode scanning is used to look up the nutrition values of packaged food. Photos are not uploaded except as described in Section 2.

4. Health Connect

If you choose to connect Health Connect, ApexFit may read steps, exercise sessions and calories burned, and may read or write weight, so your activity and progress are shown in the app. You can grant or revoke each permission at any time in Health Connect settings.

Data obtained from Health Connect stays on your device. It is not sent to our servers or AI services, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not sold. ApexFit's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Notifications

ApexFit may ask for notification permission to send meal, water and fasting reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device and can be turned off in the app or in Android settings.

6. Advertising

ApexFit shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice on our Ad Consent page and reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

7. Purchases

If the app offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, they are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment details.

8. Backup, Export and Deletion

  • You can back up your data to a file, restore it, or export it as CSV. Backup files are saved where you choose; we do not receive them.
  • You can delete your data in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • service providers that run the app's backend and AI features on our behalf (such as Google Cloud / Firebase)
  • Google AdMob for advertising, as described in Section 6
  • authorities, when required by law

10. Security

Data sent to our backend is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app.

11. Health Notice

ApexFit is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Calorie and nutrition values calculated by AI are estimates. Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making health decisions.

12. Children's Privacy

ApexFit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, UK GDPR or KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because ApexFit data is stored on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, contact us.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
